Pleomothra aplectocheles Yager, 1989: 1196, figs 1-4.

Type material. HOLOTYPE: 12.3 mm, USNM 235301. PARATYPES: 2 adults, 1 juvenile in the collection of Jill Yager.

Type locality. Dan's Cave, Abaco Island, The Bahama Islands.

Description. Based on Yager, 1989: 1196, figs 1-4. Body length medium (5.2-17.1 mm), with 16-25 segments; pleura pointed posterolaterally. Head shield subtrapezoidal. Antenna 1 dorsal ramus (exopod) with 10 articles; ventral ramus (endopod) with 6-7 articles. Antenna 2 exopod with about 34-40 plumose setae along margin. Maxilla 1 carpochelate; articles 2 and 3 free; article 4 with 3 robust apical setae; article 5 with slender setae along posterodistal margin, without endite, posterior margin straight; article 7 short. Maxilla 2 strongly prehensile; long, narrow distal to point of flexure; article 5 with row of long, stout robust setae along posterior margin; posterior margin distal to point of flexure with short, stout robust setae along posterior margin; article 7 complex with a long central spine and several shorter, subterminal spines. Maxilliped strongly prehensile; long, narrow distal to article 5 (point of flexure); with medial row of stout robust setae; posterior margin distal to point of flexure with short, stout robust setae along posterior margin; article 6 divided into 2 articles; article 7 complex with a long central spine and several shorter, subterminal spines. Uropodal rami shorter or subequal in length to anal segment.

Distribution. Grand Bahama Island, Bahamas.
